Instant context for your LLMs
Select the project files that matter, preview or edit them, and copy a structured prompt-ready bundle. Token counts run locally with the bundled OpenAI tokenizer, so private repositories stay on your Mac.
The downloadable build is being prepared for a signed, checksummed GitHub Release. Browse the source now.

Context Workflow
Built for the small, repeated decisions that turn a private project into clean LLM context.
File Explorer
Visually navigate your project folders with an interactive native hierarchy and multiple selection using ⌘ Command‑click.
Preview & Edit
Inspect the generated context before copying it, then make focused edits when a prompt needs a smaller or cleaner input.
Smart Copying
Combine all your code into a single, organized text document labeled with relative paths, ready to be pasted into your language model.
Exact Local Tokenizer
Count tokens deterministically with the bundled OpenAI o200k_base tokenizer, without uploading source code to a service.
Filtering Rules
Reuse your existing .gitignore, then add .clipcodeignore or .clipcodeinclude rules when ClipCode needs its own filters.
Private by Design
Works directly with local folders and private repositories. No hosted repo, GitHub connection, or cloud sync is required.
Installation & Configuration
The verified macOS build will ship through GitHub Releases with a published SHA-256 checksum.
Get the Verified Release
The signed release for macOS 15.2 or later is coming soon. Until then, inspect or build the source from GitHub.
Move & Open
Drag ClipCode to Applications, open it, and grant folder access only for the project you choose.
Select & Filter
Choose a project root, let ClipCode apply .gitignore, then add .clipcodeignore for AI-specific exclusions.

# Ignore dependencies
